Dale, rain gardens are a great way to control water run off, with so much development this is a natural way to control erosion.
Dale a rain garden is also a good way to control water usage. With spring around the corner this is an event that everyone interested in a rain garden should be interested to attend.
Dale, this is one event I would like to attend as rain gardens really help in the landscaping...and I could use some help come this spring.
Hi Dale -- what a great and certainly "green" idea that will be helpful to many green thumbs. I certainly hope this was a successful event.
Dale ...this would be a very educating event to attend! Wish we lived closer so we could stop by!
Have a great weekend!
What a great topic for helping the environment, Dale. I would love to attend this one too. Have fun today.
What beautiful photos! Down here the local water management offices recommend planting only plants that live in our area naturally since they require less water.
Hi Dale....Great information and announcement for the Rain Garden workshop. I'm sure it was well attended. Oh course you could just move to the Pacific Northwest..ha
Cheers
Dale, I must admit I have never heard of a rain garden, but it sure does make sense. The gardens are just beautiful. Of course, anything with green in it right now looks wonderful to me. It is snowing like all get out here in Denver and I am so so so sick of snow just about now!!! The sun will come out tomorrow!!!!
Dale,
Great pictures. I never have heard of a rain garden either but they sound neat!
Hi Dale,
You once again taught me something new my friend as I had no idea what a rain garden was until I just read your blog. Sounds and looks a fantastic way to use precious water and create a very beautiful addition to your yard.
