A Whole Different kind of Septic System Sullivan County New Hampshire Accompany Series Post 3

A Whole Different kind of Septic System Sullivan County New Hampshire Accompany Series Post 3, this post and two others are only accompany posts to the first series challenge. That I'm writing. Composting toilet system, diverting the urine.

The reason you want to do divert urine, its full of nitrogen and usually sterile. There has been studies and reports written, say-en that urine and feces combine to produce a malodorous substance, show the two are much easier to manage separately.

Toilet Diagram

A Whole Different kind of Septic System Sullivan County New Hampshire Accompany Series Post 3, For that reason, toilets that divert urine ( like the diagram above shows ) are increasingly used with composters. Now in Sweden, there are several urban and suburban homes and apartment buildings that use composting systems feature toilets that divert urine to its own storage tanks to be used later in agriculture. Consider adding urine to a subsurface, graywater irrigation system, as graywater contains a lot of carbon but not much nitrogen. You'll want to remember to only use urine with plants that love salt. Seen that urine and graywater are very salty.

Dale: Had to read your post before I left this morning. I guess I need to tell Bruth to quit whizing on the lawn; no more brown spots in the lawn. (I also heard that researchers are working on a project to use urine in making fuel). Have you heard that? You have an excellent series going on here my friend. I'm hoping David will get back on AR and do some reading.

Dale stopped back by this evening to see if you had some visitors. I see I made a typo above it should have been Brutus. Ceil said she spoke with David this morning and he said he has been busy here at the lake and also doing some repairs at the Rockport place and then running down to Dilley to feed the cattle. Just wanted to tell you that you have been writing a very nice series and I've enjoyed reading it and it has been very educational.

Dale just stopping by some of your blogs for some good reading. I wonder if they use any of these up in Colorado or do you know? Ceil's daughter is moving to Colorado - Lake City, they are building a home and I just wondered what type septic they use in that area. I'll have to find out more about the property they purchased and if they have to put in a well and septic. I think they bought five acres up in the mountains.

Up in the mountains, they sure would need to have a well and septic, unless they are in right in Town up in the mountains. When I lived up there I put in a composting toilet system to use on my homestead. Has far as the kind of septic system, its just like anywere folks live.
